The Fotopro Sherpa Summit

It’s that time again for another new release from the great folks over at Fotopro. This time around I am fortunate to be able to test out the Sherpa Summit tripod system. I am forever grateful for coming across this company so many years ago. This will be my forth tripod over the span of 8 years from this company. I still use every single one to this day. This new system brings around some unique changes to their tripods, which I’ll expand on in a bit. Having used Fotopro for years I had an idea already of what to expect when I unboxed this tripod. This iteration of tripods has exceeded the expectations that I had for Fotopro. They incorporated some much needed changes and some unique innovations.

To start off, I’ll be using photos to showcase some highlights of the tripod.

Comparing this to my X-Go Max by Fotopro, I love all of the improvements Fotopro has made over the years. The X-Go Max has been my main tripod for about 4-5 years now and was once the flagship of Fotopro. I have put some serious miles on the X-Go and it’s still going strong as if it’s brand new. I’m sure the Sherpa Summit will bring the Fotopro quality that I’ve come to know and love. The Sherpa Summit also comes with expansion slots that allows you to attach Fotopro’s Magic Arms to hold on to various accessories. These expansion slots are great for creators who use external mics, monitors, or want to attach their phone! While I’ve only had a short amount of time with this tripod, I have been able to put it though some paces.

Below are a handful of images taken with this tripod and some behind the scenes!

As they say, “Adventure Awaits”. Really can’t wait to continue to use this tripod on my adventures and challenge it’s limits.
