First off, how did you come up with Hazeyy?

Oh god, everybody asks me this question.  I don't know, I feel like cause my eyes are always low.  People just started calling me it and it just stuck.

What got you into dj'ing?

It started with my passion for music.  Ever since I was little my mom told me that I was taking apart radios and shit.  So, I don't know when I was around eight I started collecting speakers and old stereos and I would connect them all together to this one little Casio boombox and I would have the whole house shaking.  I just love the good vibes, making people feel good about themselves and making people happy.  When I'm up there seeing everyone be happy and jumping around it makes me feel good.

Tell us about the thought process behind your sets.

Usually it's just me going up there 5 minutes before my set.  I figure out my first song and I just go from there.

Tell us about the first time you heard Electronic Dance Music?

First time I ever heard EDM, my reaction was the same as everyone else I'm sure "What the fuck is this?!".  The first song was Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites by Skrillex, and after that I was like this is awesome and I gotta find more!

What was the first show you ever got to play?

The first legit show was the first Stuff Your Face With Bass.  I remember how nervous I was when I got up there and I was just thinking "Don't fuck up, Don't Fuck Up."   After I got up there and started playing I was good.

Tell us about CaveLife and what it means to you?

CaveLife to me means family.  We're all one big ass family.  We all go to Rome's house and we're just like check out this song I just found or check out this song I've been working on.  It's a great for us all to just get together and have that family feeling.

At Kandi Land II, you had some complications before your set, what happened?

Oh geez, at Kandi Land II, I was running on three hours of sleep.  Me and Rome Thrasher were up until 9 am working on our set.  I haven't eaten all day and Kido was having problems with his throttle box so I let him use mine.  Then my equipment went down.  I may have had a couple drinks so that didn't help anything either.

Who inspires you?

Who inspires me?  That's a big one.  The scene itself inspires me.  The music, the feel for it, I feel like in all EDM there's a story behind it.

Do you have any EDM Dj's that inspire you?

I like Porter Robinson.  "Porter if you read this, you're the shit." GTA, their kind of new, Knife Party, Deadmau5 is a ridiculous producer.

What's your favorite genre to play?

Electro-house, big room house, jungle house, just like jumpy shit.  Anything to get people moving.  From what I noticed from the set I just did everyone got tired out and had to take a break.

What's your take on the scene that we're in?

I love it.  It's like one huge family, it's all love.  It's a lot better than Hip-Hop where I started off in.

How do you feel about the problems that come up in the scene?

I feel like it just all needs to stop.  Everyone needs to work together so we can all grow.

What was the most memorable show you ever played?

Kandi Land II, without a doubt.  Being direct support for Dank with Rome Thrasher.

Do you have any advice or words of wisdom for people trying to do what you do?

Don't quit.  It's gonna get very hard, but push and promote yourself.  Practice.  Practice makes plurfect.  You're gonna go out and play for a big crowd of people you better put your all into it.

One last question, I always see you eating at a show, what's your favorite food?

I love pizza.  Any type of Italian food I love.

Do you have anything else you want to say?

CaveLife Hoe.
